At KalamKids ("we," "our," or "us"), we take your privacy and the safety of your children very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in relation to our mobile application ("App") and website.

1. Information We Collect

Parent Information

• Email address and password (for account management)
• Payment information (processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store)

Child Information

• First name or nickname (for profile personalization)
• Learning progress and gamification data (stars, badges, completed lessons)
• Voice recordings (for pronunciation practice - processed transiently)

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the educational experience.
• Track learning progress and achievements.
• Manage your subscription and account.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our App. We share only necessary data with them:

• Supabase: For secure authentication and database storage.
• Azure Speech Services: For analyzing pronunciation. Voice data is processed in real-time and immediately deleted; it is never stored.
• ElevenLabs: For text-to-speech generation. No personal user data is sent to this service.
• Google Translate: For translation assistance. No personal user data is sent to this service.
• RevenueCat: For managing subscriptions and billing status.

4. Voice Data Privacy

Voice recordings are never stored. When a child speaks for pronunciation practice, the audio is sent securely to our processing provider (Azure Speech Services) for immediate analysis and is then permanently deleted. We do not retain voice recordings for any purpose.

5. Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review the personal information collected about your child.
• Request the deletion of your child's personal information.
• Refuse further collection or use of your child's information.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data only as long as necessary to provide the service. If an account is inactive for 24 months, we will notify you before permanently deleting the account and all associated data.
